The Most Unforgettable Incident of My Life

The Most Unforgettable Incident of My Life

Outline (Only Main Points)
1.       Introduction: A thief in room, thinking.
2.       Plan to do something: twelve neighbors.
3.       The room is surrounded.
4.       Encounter with the thief.
"Mahmoud, there is a thief in the adjoining room," said my in my ear, whispering. I picked up my ears and saw towards the room. "You should not raise hue and cry", said my better half in a choked voice. I acted upon her advice. An advice should always be acted upon, though it may come from a woman. I kept silence. But, being the most courageous son of my father, I came out of my bed. Outside, the wind was blowing, making the scene more horrible. The room in which the wretched thief was doing something was locked. His death has brought him here in my house.  How the thief managed to get inside. "A silly question, "My intelligence remarked, "thieves are clever, what looks impossible to us is a child's play for them." At the same time, I thanked God for providing me with a chance of proving and showing my courage.
"What should I do to bring out this thief?" I thought. An idea flashed in my sharp mind and that was "the thieves are always the strongest men." So, now help was needed. A good friend is he who helps his friend in need, and so is a neighbor. I resolved to bring a few neighbors for help. I told this to my dove, and directed her not to let the thief escape in my absence. How she could do so came into my mind when I was at the door of the first neighbor. To cut a long story short, I brought twelve neighbors with me. All were armed, some with guns and some with lathes.
We laid a siege of the room. We began to talk aloud so that the thief might think we were not a few. My wife who was still in the bed began to curse the thief. She was emboldened by the presence of so many armed men. A scratching sound was heard in the room. There was a pin drop silence. "I think, he is trying to escape from the window," I remarked. We waited and waited; the thief did not come out. How the poor fellow could! The door was locked.
We decided to unlock the door. The door was unlocked, and yet the thief did not dare come out. "We should get in, we thought. The thief was desperate and, therefore, he would attack the first man. At last I, the wisest man in the neighborhood, was the first to think out a plan. "Worriers of this street", I shouted like an army captain, "Be ready. As the rascal come out, put him to death with lathes. "Saying this, I opened the door with a bang. Even at such a time of emergency, I could see praise in my wife's eyes for her brave husband. We held our breath. The thief dashed through us; our lathes struck the ground. But alas! The thief had passed through us unhurt and was passing the door of the house. It was a spotted gray cat, of course. This was the most unforgettable incident of my life.
